Noodle-Lover's Nosh: Goro + Gun

Calling all Calgary ramen lovers! There’s good news for all you noodle-fiends, in the form of Goro + Gun – a gorgeous new Japanese noodle bar located in downtown’s Scotia Centre.

The menu isn’t vast, but there’s more than enough selection to satisfy anyone’s cravings. Ramen, sushi {this place has turned me into an unapologetic sushi-lover}, sashimi, and a variety of rolls are complemented by a nice assortment of sake and cocktails, along with some great Japanese beers and delectable wines. And, as a bonus, all of the sauces are made in house, and no MSG is used in the ramen.

While the food and drinks are absolutely delightful, my favourite part of Goro + Gun is the space itself. It’s gorgeous. It’s simple and modern, bright, with a nice mixture of natural materials, basic colours, and clean lines.
